Educational Background:

Phyllicia graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Northumbria, United Kingdom, and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Malaysian Bar in January 2009.

Experience:

Phyllicia has extensive experience in corporate matters, incorporation of companies, commercial transactions, banking and finance, and conveyancing, particularly in housing development, retail, and commercial transactions. She provides legal advice, opinions, and drafts agreements for corporate clients, including company incorporations. Phyllicia actively handles several housing projects in Johor Bahru, where Syed Alwi, Ng & Co. is the leading law firm. She advises developers on various aspects of development and drafts necessary documents and agreements. Her skills include drafting and preparing sale and purchase agreements for residential and commercial properties for developers, sub-sales, auction sales, Bumi-Lot, and Malay Reserved Land. She also advises corporations and individual clients on business acquisitions, shareholder agreements, power of attorney, probate and Wills, and procedural aspects of land transfers, property management, and tenancy and rental matters.

Career:

Phyllicia began her legal career reading in the chambers of Ms. Alice Gan Siew Kim of Messrs Hamzah, Sulaiman & Partners in 2008. She joined Messrs Syed Alwi, Ng & Co., Johor Bahru immediately after her admission to the Malaysian Bar in January 2009.
