Dato’ Ng Mann Cheong graduated and was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales, Victoria & Western Australia, the High Court of Malaya, and Singapore.

Experience:

Dato’ Ng has extensive experience in Banking Law, Civil Litigation, Labour Law and Industrial Relations, Corporate Matters, and Conveyancing. His expertise includes advising both foreign and Malaysian corporations on joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and various investment structures in Malaysia and abroad. He is proficient in drafting and negotiating documents related to project finance, property finance, corporate banking, retail banking, restructuring, and corporate advisory work. Additionally, he has significant experience in helping foreign corporations establish businesses in Malaysia and assisting Malaysian clients in setting up businesses overseas.

Career:

Dato’ Ng began his legal career at Messrs Shook Lin & Bok as a legal assistant in 1968, becoming a partner in 1972 and practicing there until 1980. In 1981, he co-founded the law firm of Messrs. Syed Alwi, Ng & Teoh, which later became Syed Alwi, Ng & Co., expanding it into the prominent firm it is today. Beyond his practice, Dato’ Ng serves as an independent director of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd, M Trustee Berhad, and Ambank Group.
